Great place please get better mattresses.

Great pool nice bar area good breakfast friendly staff.

The only thing that spoilt our stay was the hard uncomfortable beds ,we didn’t sleep well bad mattress was a shame as we enjoyed our stay .

Hotel ideal for Blackpool lights.

Good Evening Meal.

Odd Shaped room with seperate toilet and sink/bathroom opposite side of room. Hotel lay out was like a rabbit warren, several buildings rolled into one. Map would have been useful. Parking wasn't easy.

Lovely hotel, friendly staff and good leisure facilities

Very nice breakfast, room very spacious and staff very pleasant. Superb entertainment on Wednesday evening from couple playing good mix of music, but again not advertised they were playing as only realised when came back from going elsewhere for food and drinks

Need clear communication of when swimming pool used for child swimming lessons. Poor management of locker system as appears given out close together rather than distributed around room to give more space. If it was my hotel I would reduce price of bar drinks and advertise the fact to attract more people as too expensive.

What was the highlight of Dalmeny Hotel

Great for families , and something for everyone too.

The room was great, the sea view was lovely. The activities for kids were great we really enjoyed the Halloween party too. Breakfast was brilliant and the staff were all very nice and helpful.

Although we still enjoyed going in the pool with the kids it would have been better if there was a shallow end as one of the kids has only just started swimming without armbands and couldn’t stand up anywhere. Also the car park was full and there were 2 cars parked selfishly to the edge over the line preventing anyone one parking next to them. Our daughter struggles to walk far so we have a blue badge. We did eventually manage to park but it was a struggle and I wasn’t aware there may be a parking problem (and no disabled space free either). It isn’t a major problem and wouldn’t put us off coming again just a point to note.

friendly staff. The self service breakfast was very good. Had the black pudding been Scottish or Irish instead of Bury type it would have been excellent. Well run and efficient. Was advised by my daughter and grandson the pool was a bonus.

A great half term family stay

We were able to arrive early and take part in the activities ahead of check in, and we were welcome to stay after check out also. The lady in the Children's activity room was lovely. So welcoming, friendly and patient with the children. She made a special effort to learn everyone's name and the children made some lovely crafts to take home. Parking was for the duration of our stay, and location was excellent so the car could stay parked at the hotel. The food was excellent in the restaurant for evening meal and breakfast. The evening entertainment was very good for families. Our ground floor family room was very quiet.

The room was a little tired and could be updated. It was a ground floor room, so you had to draw the curtains if you wanted to change as there were no blinds or privacy at the window.

Fabulous amenities for children,just let down a bit by basic rooms and just generally the hotel needed a bit of tlc but

So much to do for the children , they loved it, great swimming pool and arcades and children’s activities

Rooms pretty basic although we had a great balcony which was unexpected

It is what it looks like a no nonsense family friendly hotel in a great position.

Breakfast was buffet style set in a very large and pleasant breakfast room. Nice swimming pool and jacuzzi, friendly staff, relaxed informal bar.

Did not like the way reception staff kept trying to sell the breakfast due to the fact it's an extra charge, just to explain the situation should be enough. Room walls not sound insulated as could hear snoring from the adjoining room, so be careful what you say and do!

Great location and facilities but poor service in the breakfast area and poor cleanliness in room.

The location and facilities were good especially the spa where we had an excellent treatment.

The separate bathroom and shower smelled very badly after using like the drains were blocked had we been staying another night I would of insisted on moving room. We told the hotel on check out only to be told they were sorry about that but offered no further apology or compensation as this was certainly not up to the standard advertised.

Excellent restaurant with interesting choices.

Excellent restaurant with interesting choices. Live entertainment in bar. Good-sized swimming pool with large good quality towels, showers and hair drying facilities. Beach-front location. For the money we paid, it was above expectations for a sea-side hotel.

Front of house, cold rooms no water in rooms Changing rooms at the pool were filthy had to walk through hotel with our towels wrapped around Condom on foot path outside hotel informed staff on a couple of occasions but still on path when we left.

Fab for families

Excellent staff, very helpful. Loved the separate areas at breakfast, didn’t look busy then. Lovely pool facilities and had a fabulous meal at the atrium.

We visited as a couple as our children are all grown up. Hotel caters really well for families and would have loved to bring mine when they were younger but was hoping at this time of year for a few less children . Not an issue though.

Night away for my daughters birthday

A lovely relaxing and comfortable stay, stayed for one night with my mum, daughter and her friend for my daughters 13th birthday. We've been before and my daughter wanted to go for her birthday. Fantastic facilities and such a great atmosphere. Can't wait to go back!

By no means does this impact the fact that our stay was great, but there was only 1 chair in a large family room with 2 separate bedrooms each with own furniture etc. so could have done with at least one more chair

Room with a sea view was lovely birthday treat

We got an upgrade to a room with sea view, which was a lovely gesture as it was my wife's birthday. Spa facilities were excellent and we had a nice dip in the pool with the kids. Great slap-up breakfast. Cinema for kids was an added bonus. The staff were friendly and courteous. Overall a very pleasant stay.

My only minor gripe was the automatic doors are kept shut during inclement weather and our pram couldn't fit in the revolving doors so we had to ask reception to open them for us. We had to wait a few minutes to get their attention when it was busy. It was a small inconvenience.

Pool had run out of towels. Lockers didn’t have keys Dinner was booked in at a time not appropriate. Downstairs bar-staff were rude so much so that another guest even commented on her inappropriateness Radiator was broken in bedroom- rang reception 3 times - said maintenance were ‘on way’ but never turned up. Eventually had to cancel as two year old needed to go to sleep. Bathroom leaked For lunch bar staff were unhelpful , didn’t know menu
